Cybelle’s Short Bio
July 1, 2009 at 5:11 pm (Biography)
Cybelle
Cybelle, delights in being the Debbie Allen of Eclypse’s world fusion teaching effort.
Cybelle has always been a dancer, starting with ballet at age 2 in Osaka, Japan. Raised in Puerto Rico with the sounds of the tropics, the Salsa and Meringue were in her blood by age 14. After the birth of her daughter, Olivia, she found a new passion for dance with Cabaret Belly Dance under friend and mentor, Wendy Broadway. She has diversified her dancing experience by studying under many excellent performers at conferences and workshops of such as Onca of Baraka Mundi, Mandara- a teacher of Indian Bhangara, Ariellah Darker Still, Mira Betz, Megha of Devyani, Kukua, a teacher of West African Dance, and has received her level 1 certification under Suhaila Salimpour in 2006.
Her lexicon of world belly dance forms includes American Tribal Style, Tribal Fusion, Gothic Tribal, Indian Bhangara, and West African Dance. Cybelle, being the eternal student, strives continually to broaden her repitoire of dance traditions, styles, and techniques.
In her classes she “strives to make the student’s experience personal and uniquely their own.” Having fun gracefully is the key.

- Cybelle
